SOCIAL SOLIDARITY - #BREAKING THE STIGMA - AWARENESS CAMPAIGN 2023

The Bookstand Charity Social Solidarity awareness campaign aims to break the social stigma associated with breast cancer. Social stigma largely contributes to fear and delays in seeking treatment and attending regular screening which ultimately contributes to late presentation and an increase in fatality cases. To encourage social solidarity in the fight against breast cancer we are calling upon members of the public and employers to join us in breaking the social stigma by adorning the pink lapel pin this October. Much appreciation to - Dr. Marek Ostrowski Phd. Breast Oncoplastic Surgeon, Muthoni Mate of Cancer Cafe; Ekta Bid, Diana Ogendi of Lady Luck Shapewear, Wandia Gichuru CEO Vivo Active Wear, the University of Nairobi, Kabarak university and all associate partners supporting the cause.

STUDENTS UNITE AGAINST BREAST CANCER: COMMUNITY HEALTH AMBASSADORS PROGRAM

Awareness is the greatest agent for change. Educating the youth builds a strong foundation that empowers the community and future generations on early detection, screening tests and treatment for breast and cervical cancer. The Bookstand Charity applauds and appreciates all medical students taking the initiative to support the cause by joining the Community Health Ambassadors Program.
#Early Detection is your Best Protection.

Cancer Awareness Cards

The Bookstand cancer awareness cards are durable pvc cards that educate the public on the causes, early detection symptoms, prevention and screening of breast and cervical cancer. Partner/volunteer with us as we soldier on to raise awareness and have a positive impact within the undeserved demographic.
